She has taught me so many things in my life; how to treat others, how to be selfless, how to raise my own children, etc. My boys adore her and love spending time with her. They get beyond excited if gwanma is coming! I don't know where I would be without her guidance and assistance! I really do appreciate you mom and don't know if I say it enough! L&B Wedding - An Unforgettable Event!!! Part 1

On April 16th, L&B got married and it was an event to say the very least. With a tornado watch and rain all day, the skies seem to clear for their outside ceremony! It was beautiful and loving!! After that a little chaos broke out as the Reception tent got completely flooded and everything had to move to the small restaurant on the property. It was amazing how the bride and groom took it with ease and created such a fun event!

There was kayaking in the tent by the father of the bride, standing on chairs by the bride to get everyone's attention and an unusual dining situation...however they smiled through everything!!! It goes to show you that no matter what can go wrong on your wedding day, it is best to just go with it and enjoy every second of it. Everyone left saying they had the time of their life. Including me...these are dear friends of mine so I had the pleasure of working and being a guest! It was truly a remarkable event!!!

Project 52 - Week Sixteen - Looking In

As I mentioned before, we spend a lot of time at Longwood Gardens!! This day we enjoyed the amazing weather we were suddenly blessed with and walked to the Italian Gardens. We also fed the giant catfish which the boys cheered every time they came out for our bread.

As the weather warms, we spend days weekly roaming this place! Each time we find a new adventure to explore. The treehouses, the meadow, the tower that we can conquer or just a nice lunch out in the fresh air. Thanks for checking in!!

Project 52 - Week Fourteen - Water

One of our favorite places to explore is Longwood Gardens!! We love splashing around in the Indoor and Outdoor Children's Garden and exploring the beautiful gardens! We especially love it in spring and fall but since they have a huge indoor garden, it is fun to pretend during winter!!

Project 52 - Week Thirteen - Fools/Being Silly

This is my oldest. He will be five in May and is growing so fast. Whenever you ask him to be silly he comes up with this really funny face that he shows here. The funnier thing is that he moves his hands in different ways (which you obviously don't see here) to change up the look. I find it hilarious since the face doesn't really change.

So, I made this little storyboard of the many faces of my lil man! I love this sweet kid so much. He has such a tender heart and is full of joy! It is so amazing to spend every day with him! Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

Project 52 - Week Twelve - New

New feet...that is one of many things that make me smile! I wanted to do something with new blooms but they are so new that it was challenging to get an image!

I am sorry this is up late, however I had the fun experience of being an audience member of The View on Thursday and it took up all day! If you haven't done so, you should definitely try getting tickets...it takes awhile but well worth it. We got a year's supply of toilet paper and my friend suggested that I take a picture of me and some new tp, but I couldn't purchase it in time...LOL. Project 52 - Week Ten - Natural Frames

Here we are in week ten already. If you need a refresher, this project shows how fifteen photographers interpret one theme each week. This week, it is all about natural frames. There are many things in nature and man made that can create an instant frame. From fences, to swing sets to trees and posts. This week we took on this challenge and of course it was a rainy day.

I decided that I would get the kids splashing around in the puddles. That would be fun! It was, and although I got an image or two of that (not anything I loved), this image spoke to me. In the fun, my two year old lost his shoe and was walking around in one sock. So, my four year old picked up the shoe and brought it to him and then helped him put it back on. It was such a sweet moment that really speaks to the relationship that these two are creating. I am so glad that I got to capture my oldest's pure loving nature.

Project 52 - Week Nine - Friendship

So, I have to admit...I totally forgot about this project this week. I have been doing a ton of things and all of a sudden I woke up this morning like, it is Friday already?! Needless to say, I have to cheat since I didn't get an image done this week. I did think about getting something with my husband and dog since they are true to the saying Man's Best Friend, but that just didn't happen!!

Here is an image I took last Fall with my two boys. I didn't process this until the beginning of this year so it kind of works...ha ha. It is one of my favorite images and I can't wait to have it big on my wall. I will get back on the ball next week and have something fresh!!

On a very windy Saturday in February, I got to meet this gorgeous, sweet family. We walked around the farm and laughed the whole time. It was truly a pleasure to meet this family. Project 52 - Week Seven - Feet

This week's project is around feet! And, as I thought of a ton of things, I just couldn't help coming back to my boys' feetsy pajamas (as we call them). Every night we each (my husband and I) read to one of our two boys. We alternate so we each read to our boys every other night.

Last night I was with the baby (well 2 year old)! He loves to sit in his little baseball adirondack chair. His favorite thing is to line up all his Sesame Street pals next to him so they can hear the stories too. His favorite book is an Elmo puppet book that sings If Your Happy and You Know It. Now he even takes the liberty of singing it to himself and his "guys". Can you imagine how cute that is? In his words, "If you appy and know cap you hans." He sometimes even makes Elmo and company clap with him. It is something that I will cherish forever! And these pictures will allow me too! Thanks for checking in!!

Project 52 - Week Six - Valentines

Besides my two little, adorable, Valentines, my first Valentine is my husband! So, I decided to concentrate on that subject this week. I had something in mind all week...problem is that it took daylight to execute it and my husband has been working from sun up to sun down for the most part....well, he is here in the morning but it is usually chaotic so it never happened.

Then, I was just taking pictures of him around the house. I saw our Beer Pong sign...yes, we do have one...and it spoke to me. I know this has to be hilarious to most, but my husband and I were Beer Pong partners before we even dated. I lived in this college party house and he would come to every one with his two best friends. Since they were a team, I decided to team up with him. Needless to say, the rest is history.

So, this may be a bit silly, but it does have some meaning! Maybe I will get to do the other picture eventually...so, I won't reveal that one. I hope everyone enjoys their Valentines Day...in my household it isn't really V Day, but B Day...baseball day since it is the first day of Spring Training...yes, we are that crazy...LOL!!

Project 52 - Week Five - Obsession

I have quite a few obsessions....my family, my computer, photography and Christian Bale to name a few! But, for this subject I decided to show an obsession that I have had my entire life....the Phillies. I am a baseball fan through and through. I have grown up around it. My dad coached (still does) little league since before I was born. My great grandfather (although I have never met him) was a bartender for the Phillies in the mid 1900s....the stories I heard were amazing! Then, when I was six, in 1980 the Phillies won it all for the first time since they were created in the late 1800's! It hasn't always been easy to be a Phillies fan...they are the losingest sports franchise in history. Lately, things have really turned around and I keep pinching myself!

In 2008 I got to witness live the second championship in their history and even writing this I tear up. I was pregnant (very pregnant) with my second and jumping up and down like a pogo stick. That little man in my belly even had his middle name changed to Cole that amazing October night! My four year old has been to 3 different MLB stadiums (not including Minors) and has seen about 60 games live...even two playoff games.

So, you can see how much the Phillies are in my life!! We have an entire room dedicated to them and I was going to take pictures of that, but I just loved the simplicity of this image! So, there you have it...a book on my Phillies obsession. Did I mention I have a dog named Ashburn (non-Phillies fans - that is for Richie Ashburn - a beloved player and announcer). Enjoy!

Project 52 - Week Four - Lines

This week's theme is Lines! Lines are a very important element of photography....they can really change up a photograph. There are leading lines, which can lead your eye to the subject; there are horizon lines that could cut your photograph in half if not utilized correctly; but those are only a few examples.

I had one idea all week, but then we got a surprise snowstorm....16.5 inches of surprise (that was after a 6 inch surprise storm the night before). So, we ended up spending all day in the snow. I was snapping away like crazy and then I looked up at our Willow tree and the sun was peeking through so it hit me! This was what I would do. So, I present you with my interpretation of lines!

Project 52 - Week Three - Yellow

When you think of the color yellow what comes to mind? For me, it is sunshine, warmth, Coldplay, and my four year old's first official favorite color (he has moved to blue now, lol). This week our assignment was to photograph something yellow. This proved to be quite a challenge for me because the weather has been mainly snow and although I thought of yellow snow, I just couldn't make that creative...who knows maybe someone else can...ha ha.

Anyway, I look out my back window and go figure, a tree with slightly yellow leaves amongst all of the snow. Why hadn't I noticed this before? That is the entire point of this awesome project. To open our eyes to the world around us and get creative with it. So, there you go. Here is my interpretation of Yellow.

Project 52 - Week Two - Bokeh

This weeks theme is Bokeh. For those of you that do not know what Bokeh is, here is the definition in wikipedia - In photography, bokeh is the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image, or "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light."

I chose two photograph's to show Bokeh. Really, because I could not choose one. The first is really true bokeh. Project 52 - Week one: Self-Portrait

I am so excited to be participating in a photography project this year called Project 52. A group of 15 super talented photographers will be participating in the project. Each week we will have a theme that we will photograph as we see it. On Friday we will all post our photos! Below the weekly photo we will each provide a link to another photographer participating in the project and they will do the same creating a circle! This “link” will make it easy to follow each photographer participating in the project and give you a healthy dose of amazing eye candy! This project is going to be challenging....but so much FUN! I hope that you will join us this year as we take on PROJECT 52!

I brought my lil guy to Longwood Gardens for the first time and boy did he love it! It is right up his ally since he tries to splash in the dog bowls or the toilets...at least this water is cleaner!! Here are two images of his first splashing experience!!!

C's Senior Session

Today was really cool! I got to hang out with C in West Chester taking Senior pics! As much as I adore working with the little ones, it is refreshing to actually be able to talk and guide for a change!! And it was really fun on top of that!!
